Golf, fishing and Square Pond RV Park

Trying some fly fishing on the last day of the season. We didn’t have much luck. Newfoundland had received some of their highest rain falls in a long time and all of the rivers were a few feet higher than normal, which according to the local fisherman that we spoke with affected the fishing.Fishing

Some beautiful rivers and a non-resident can fish for trout on most of them if they stay within 800 metres of the highway and of course possess a licence. Salmon fishing is a different story for non- residents – you must hire a guide. Make sure you check out all of the fishing regulations so that you are sure to be fishing within the rules.image

We had a beautiful day on the golf course. The Gander Golf Course had some beautiful holes and was definitely a challenge.Gander Golf
