Signal Hill & Silver Foxes

We went to Signal Hill after our lunch at the Rocket. The view is quite spectacular from this height.Lighthouse near Signal Hill

The full view of St. John’s harbour shows why it was used for military purposes in the Second World War. It is extremely well protected from the ocean and can be easily protected by the battlements at Signal Hill.St. John's Harbour

The trail at Signal Hill is amazing – lots of stairs and again great views. Signal Hill hike

The the way to start of the trail, we passed through a small part of St. John’s and Tracy found this little “fixer-upper” that we thought bright be a good real estate investment. I’m not so sure about it but I did like the colours!A fixer-upper

Our first true wildlife sighting. This beautiful Silver Fox was waiting at the top of the second last stairwell on the Signal Hill hike. I was able to take quite a few photos before he decided to run off along the shoreline.Silver Fox

Back at our camp site at Pippy Park Campgrounds we he joyed a well deserved steak and stir fry. An excellent way to end a day along with a nice glass of wine.Steak at Pippy Park
