We went to Cape Spear – the most eastern point in North Aamerica and to say the least it was a little foggy. We toured the lighthouse and then decided to take a hike along the coastline on Blackhead Path.
The picture below was taken just as we started the trail. Very steep and not very safe so it’s wise to stay a good distance from the edge and have good hiking boots.
The start of the trail – we thought the 3.7 km trail to the Blackhead Community would be a easy hike but they neglected to tell us that it was 3.7 km uphill the whole way.
These are just some of the many stairs through the woods ancoaling the coast line. After an hour and half we decided to turn back since the fog was getting thicker and the Community was no where in sight.
